Retail Party

Updates...Retail party on 18 Dec was fun..and the theme for IOS is China. So everyone in IOS dressed up like all the China people. We have Greek,Hawaii,Cowboy and Malaysian by the other shops in the house too..Though we did not win anything but all that matters is our Team spirit. We were so high that we could tear down the whole amis(the venue) rooftop..hahaha.

Damn my camera,forgot to charge for this important event. Nonetheless we had fun and loads of presents too..am so happy!! I got presents for compliments,for being one of the Tourism Award finalist and from colleagues too.

Then last week went to Serapong Pavillion(Sentosa Golf Club) to received my Silver Award for Excellence Service by the Association Of Singapore Attractions..cool event too. Nice food and ate my favourite tiramisu..yum yum. So lucky got no problem with my stomach cos i heard that place was in the news this week for some kind of food virus.

And Faisal is coming back next week....yay!!More and more fun in IOS soon. All those fun bunch of pple like Adeline is back in IOS. Though we play hard..we work hard too okay.!! And how can we create the atmosphere if we don't initiate it..haha..to more better sales next week.. (we really need it!!)

Talking abt being sa-bo-ed during birthdays. I could clearly remembered what actually happened on my 16th birthday. The smelliest and disgusting ever birthday sabo i had.Imagine egg with soysauce with vinegar with chilli sauce,,eerrghghh shucks man!!..

At work..it's always been hell during the last week and first week of the month.Especially if you're in IOS. Mostly is abt redemption and cash memo issues. And there's good news for me too..Helen and myself is in the Tourism Awards final for the Best Tourism Host-Retail. So just wait for the results in March 2008 .

Official 2nd day in IOS and was running Full Shift. It was Japanese madness. Chocolates sold like pancakes and Girls who sounds horny were everywhere in the shop. But at least our sales yesterday was not that bad for a Friday. Had lunch with Helen and Soh Fun from comms. Talked abt Sentosa and Tourism Awards. Its good to have lunch with someone from the office ( communications dept somemore ) so u will actually get updates from them abt the management. Who's in who's out this and that...bla..bla..bla...We even talked abt the Sentosa Express the going to demolish Waterfront Station. What a waste of money!!





Saw Ernest at Vivo. And oh my ..how he have changed. 15 kg is actually an accomplishment. Congrats bro...It must be very hard on you!!(salutes!!)





It seems that Banquet@Vivo is our favourite haunt for dinner after work nowadays. And on top of the fried kway teow,the laksa and tom yum soup noodle there were delicious too.

I hate it when my request for off days was not granted!! actually request on Mon for the raya outing with the retail peeps and Wed on my Birthday!!..both of my request were turned down!!
Nvm its ok...i believe in Karma!!when in times of need we shall see......GD LUCK!!

Drained

I'm back ...
and i swear Hari Raya Preparation and visiting completely drained me of all my strength.
Nonetheless I had fun and am looking forward to the retail raya outing which is on this coming Monday. Not sure of how many of us are going but hope that there will be enough cars to place all of us.

Work was pretty okay for me these past few days and i'm back to IOS now. My hometown. :-).
AND the redemption issues there = madness!! So many kinds of redemption now! Urrgh! and hope Tommy will be a good assistant to me. I am sure i can count on him.

Its kinda sad to see that some of us IN-CHARGES don't have this welfare attitude towards the part timers. Now there is this rule saying that part timers should commit certain no of days and hrs per week. Yes its true that they have to commit but those who can't commit well subject to be reviewed and not ask to stop just like that without thinking of how they have contributed to retail so far. You can be task oriented but to be a good leader you must be able to gain respect from your staff too. No point being so into task but in the end u stressed yourself out because no one can work well or cooperate with you.

I am not arrowing at anyone in particular but it serve to all of us In-charges in general. Come on Give and take lah. You can follow rules but don't follow blindly. If you have good reasons for your good part timers, voice it out. I'm sure the management have their professional views on this too. Pls have some flexibility.

Stoopid Banget!!

It's that fasting month again and congrats to me that i have not ponteng yet..:-). Its not tough though to fast this time round compared to last year when i was at Merlion.haha..I think it's because of the environment?(-that delifrance smell ) or people? But surprisingly this year quite a few of my non-muslim friends are practising it too. (- all the more i have to fast.NO EXCUSE!!!) Thus then it is, to respect this holy month i shall -

1. NOT go to club/pub
2. NOT use vulgarities
3. NOT be gay-ing around haha

Just now,I bought Nasi Ayam Penyek from Seah Im for my break fast and there i bumped into the guys from talents- Zamberi,Sofiyan (and the other guy not sure of his name all i know is that he is Azni friend). Walked with them back to Sentosa. They were a bunch of hyper, crazy, fun and loud androgynous people cracking jokes and imitates a particular retail staff nicknamed by them 'Mak Bonda' how he sell his lightwands and fans. Haha hilarious.

And Some people in the world are becoming more and more stupider nowadays. At work, I've got this guest at Oscar asking me

Stupid Guest: " EEELLO, what time is the 7.40 show?? "

I was like duhh!! Being the normal sarcastic me i reacted lamely

Me: "Sir,The title of the show is called Songs Of The Sea.( and not 7.40)"

Stupid Guest: " I know! But what time is the 7.40 show?

Wow, he asked the same question TWICE confidently and trying to sound pissed as if i am the one stupid. Without hesitation i replied

Me: Sir, i think you are confused by your own question. The 7.40 show STARTS AT 7.40 and what time YOU CAN JOIN THE QUEUE??You can follow the people out there and join the QUEUE NOW!!

As expected, without thanking me, he walked off.

Karaoke session with Zul today at Safra Yishun and i've got difficulty hitting the high notes. Is it because i'm scared to strain my forehead or i don't have my coke drink beside me ?? Well,something abnormal abt me is that i must gulp a glass of coke everytime before i start to sing.Its my pre-sing ritual actually .heh. Maybe for me it helps cause whenever i gobbled down a glass of coke, maintaining my high notes shouldn't be a big problem.

"She called me up right after my K session". I pondered every conversation we had...i prefer to let nature takes its course. Its not that i'm not ready for it but...haiz..only time will tell...
