Steward-Dess!!

ok. First of all, i would like to say thanks to all those who wished me happy birthday(sms,calls,Facebook,Friendster,Tagged or thru their respective blogs). Haha..i know its wayyyyyyy back(3 weeks?)but i just couldn't find the time to update this miserable bloggy of mine.:-(.Nonetheless i really really appreciate it from the bottom of my heart.:-)

My work life thus far, have been great and rewarding too. I have to give a miss to the Qatar Airways interview at Hilton Hotel last Sat. Reason was-i woke up late.:-(.so do all my friends/colleagues who knew abt the interview.None of them turned up. Not that i wanted to ditched Tiger for Qatar,but my friends have been telling me how easy to get into Qatar.Being me ,of course i would like to see for myself hw easy it is to get in.heheh.but no chance, thanks to my sleep. Even if i get the job, certainly i'm not ready yet. Relocating to somewhere in the middle east sounds so scary. MAYBE when i get sick and Tired of living in Singapore I 'might consider.;-p.

I was at my 24hrs neighbourhood mart (A.J MART) with Faizal just now when this filipino guy came up to me and said. "I remember u!! U steward--dess rite!!"(WTF, for goodness sake its Steward and not Steward-dess)Of course i'm shocked. I asked him-" eh ,how u noe??" "U is the Steward-dess(again)on my flight to Singapore from Clark" My goodness, he can remember me while i'm totally clueless abt his existence on that flight. and for you guys info, my last flight to Clark was like last month and he can remember me very well.Hmmm.-Scary! but lucky his face resembles 60% like Hady Mirza or else i bo-layan him!

I miss my Sentosa friends.....pls meet up soon!! and tiger airways Amazing Race will be in Sentosa. YAY! The dates yet to be confirm. Aiyah, my team confirm win one!!Looking forward man...

I'm desperately in need to go on a shopping trip to Szenzhen or Guangzhou next month.

Heaven

Here i am updating my dusty blog. Ok so my ojt and solo flight have been fine so far. (yes so far) in other words so far so good haha..But the turbulence to Madras last Sunday was madness i nearly fly to the ceiling. Yes imagine Ceiling top ya that high and got scalded by my hot coffee.(ouch.. pain u noe):-( First time experiencing turbulence that bad. Lucky next mth no Madras flight BUT there is Bangalore.:-(

Next month schedule is out. Quite relax loads of standby and 10 confirmed flights. Heheh,hw heaven to work in this industry.This month i got no China flight. But next month half of my confirmed flights i'll be flying to China cities. My seniors have been by far very nice and friendly.( No YayaPapaya type)Hope all the crew will be like that. For now i'm enjoying every bit of my flight.

Now i'm contemplating of bringing my LV Duffel bag to work. I don't want to be labelled as 'hou lian' by the seniors. Though its a gift from a friend, for goodness sake the bag cost freaking US$900. I don't care i will just bring it tomorrow for work cos Faizal will be fetching me at BT from my Macau flight by his bike. Also, its not convenience to bring my cabin bag with wheels up to his bike.:-)..

Halloween this friday and also yours truly 28th birthday heheh. Batch 18 plan to party at Movida. Seriously i've longed to go Sentosa, Cafe Del Moar. Whatever it is see how the plan goes.:-)Busy friday for me!!.:-)

Some pple who don't understand abt my life and they rant and assume whatever things they want. So i can't stop YOU!! I'm Glad everything is over and of course i appreciate good things that u've done for me. Don't worry .I will always remember it.Thank You.What an end to the month of Ramadan.But nonetheless you should be happy for me right?and hope u pray for me and hope the very best for my future endeavors.Nice moment with you will always be remembered.:-)

Fun

The first week of training was fun.Trainings on different fundamentals theory,grooming,airline terminology and case studies. The role play was the funniest part of the week.:-)..haha.I'm beginning to love my class, my trainers and looking forward for classes everyday. haha like real.


My first familarisation flight(FAM Flight) to Phuket yesterday was tiring. I woke up as early as 3.30 am to prepare myself and to be at the airport by 5.30 am. After changing passes at the police counter we went straight to the briefing room for my first briefing session with Tiger Airways.:-).

Briefings is not something new for me cos I myself had done briefings with Retail Crew during my stint in Sentosa before.

Contents of the briefings which was done by the Leading Stewardess to her Crews is also the same. After the briefings is done they went straight to the gates of their aircraft and start to do their opening checks. Usually the team will have to report to work 1 hr before flight departure.We were seated at the back row to observe the crews doing their work.Next Monday will be the review of the FAM flight and some basic of service excellence....yay!

And so as u can see there's alot of lookalikes in my class. And Next week there's 3 Iftar session to look forward to. Safety Equipment Procedure(SEP)theory is on next week too. I heard its tough and we need to pass the test in order to get the licence to fly!!Till my next post then.

New Job

The doc said that my uncle would be warded longer(ard 2 mths):-(

He's becoming more and more skinnier.No food to be fed through mouth.Once a very strong man but now so weak.Weaker than me i can say.I'm just hoping for the best.


This week will be the last week that i'm able to visit him cos next week i will be starting my cabin crew training.and yes its official i will be a flight steward with Tiger Airways.

Two offers at one go, Etihad and Tiger. I chose the latter .Why?Etihad needs me to be based in Dubai while Tiger i can always be in Singapore.I will miss my family and friends if i choose Etihad.Anyways Tiger replied me first so ...yadayadayada....



It is always my dream to fly and with my experience in Tourism industry and of course the Tourism Host Certificate, i'm glad that offers came rolling to me.I've even have offers from fullerton hotel my previous work place to become their Guest Relations Officer. I have to give a miss the 2nd interview for Emirates Airline knowing the benefits is as the same as Etihad.Some of you might be thinking its stupid for me not to go for Etihad Airways or Emirates. I can foresee that its gonna be too stressful for me. 3 years in another country is not easy. I have to be independent and there's no one to turn to if i need someone badly.

Tiger Airways benefits is not as bad.I can have 5 free tickets everytime i make a booking.The flight hours allowance is reasonable and to add to the salary component we will be given 5% commission every mth for things sold on air.Just imagine my flight allowance and commision is much much higher than my basic pay.:-)I'll just hope that i can stride and give my best in Tiger Airways.

Nothing to blog abt so i just blog my new job as some of my dear friends have been pestering me to update abt my new job.Also its 15 more minutes to breakfast might as well blog just to kill time.!:-) I just can't wait and am looking forward to start my 2 mths training this Monday.New friends new environment...still i won't forget my old friends ya..don't u worry..!!
